Summer Holiday Activities
24 July – 1 Sep 2024
Summer of Telecoms
Join us this summer holiday for activities themed around two of our iconic collections: the nationally important TV & Radio Exhibition and ever-popular BT Connected Earth.
Every day:
- Pick up a family trail to delve into the murky world of espionage, with links to communications exhibits around the museum.
Every Wednesday to Friday:
- Explore the pursuit of DXing (making contact with people in distant places over the radio waves) and design your own QSL card to share with friends.
- You’re on television! Take a breather with our free-play activity.
Every Wednesday:
- Engage with volunteers in the TV & Radio Exhibition.
On Thursday 25 July, Thursday 8 August and Thursday 22 August:
- Send a telegram and see the optical telegraph in operation in Connected Earth.
By popular demand, West Sussex Woodturners will be offering their drop-in, make-and-take children’s activities every Friday throughout August.
