Home Educators Day

Enjoy a day exploring Amberley Museum, with drop-in activities and experiences specially for home-educating families.

  • Ride a vintage bus and narrow-gauge train
  • Watch a high-voltage electricity demonstration
  • Print a keepsake in the Print Shop
  • Make a wooden ornament with the West Sussex Woodturners
  • Send Morse Code messages in the TV & Radio Exhibition
  • Enjoy a quiet visit to our Connected Earth building (audiovisuals will be turned off for the morning only)
  • Explore our nature trails
  • Try our new SEND resources, including Makaton and symbol vocabulary primers

There will also be a dedicated chill-out space open all day, with games, puzzles and books to read.

Entry to this event is at our learning prices of:

£7.00 per child aged 5-16

£9.50 per adult

(under-5s free)

This event is not pre-bookable – just turn up!

Please note: These activities and prices are only available to home-educating families. This event is chargeable for museum members.

Extra Information

Amberley Museum is located in the heart of the South Downs National Park. Often referred to as multiple museums in one, the Museum has over 20 exhibition areas.

The Limeburners Cafe will be open for lunches and snacks, ice creams and hot drinks are also available. There are also outdoor picnic areas.

Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
