Amberley Museum is a captivating destination that seamlessly blends history, industry, and natural beauty, providing a unique backdrop for both filming and photography. Nestled in the picturesque South Downs National Park in West Sussex, Amberley Museum offers a distinctive setting for a range of creative projects.
Located 45 minutes from the M25, just off the A24 and next to Amberley Railway Station, the site offers good access, plenty of space & dedicated parking. The Museum is closed to the public on Mondays & Tuesdays which makes it possible to accommodate large & small projects throughout the year.
Filming
The Museum provides a versatile and authentic environment with its well-preserved collection of historic buildings, industrial machinery, and exhibits spanning the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum boasts a vast outdoor space, including a working narrow-gauge railway, traditional crafts workshops, and a fascinating array of vintage vehicles. This diverse landscape offers filmmakers the opportunity to create period pieces, documentaries, or atmospheric scenes that require a rich historical setting.
Photography
Photographers will find endless inspiration in the textures, colours, and architectural details of Amberley Museum. The carfeully maintained exhibits and immersive displays provide a treasure trove of visually compelling subjects.
