Ale at Amberley
Friday 31st Aug to Sunday 2nd Sept

Join us for our 13th annual Ale festival, with over 60 local beers, ales and perries, hot and cold food and musical entertainment throughout the day and the Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Museum is open as usual during the day where you can explore the 36 acre Museum, taking a ride on the narrow gauge railway or historic bus.

We advise pre-booking tickets for the evening sessions on Friday 31st and Saturday 1st 

The bars are open from 12:00noon until 5:00pm on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday daytimes, with drink up day on the Sunday. (Evenings are not included in Museum Membership but you are welcome to attend during the daytime).

  1. Amberley Museum - Ale at Amberley daytimes
    Saturday 1st DAYTIME
    On Saturday 1st the Museum is open as normal from 10:00am. The ale festival will start from 12:00 noon. Museum closes at 5:00pm (last entry 4.30pm) but you are welcome to stay on for the evening session, re-admission will not be permitted. Daytime ale festival is covered under your standard Museum entry tickets that can be purchased online or on the door on the day.
  2. Amberley Museum - Ale at Amberley evenings
    Fri 31st - Travel by Coach
    For the Friday evening we are offering a return coach from: Chichester to Amberley or Worthing to Amberley, see bottom of this page for coach route and times. Routes start at 6pm to arrive at approx. 7pm at the museum, and return journey from 11pm. Tickets at £10 per person, limited spaces available. Book seats when you buy your tickets.
  3. Amberley Museum - Ale at Amberley Sunday afternoon
    Sunday 2nd DAYTIME ONLY
    Sunday 2nd is drink up day. The Museum is open as usual from 10:00am until 5:00pm. Bars open from 12 noon until 4:00pm. After 2:00pm on this day only all remaining ales will be reduced in price.
  4. Amberley Museum - Ale at Amberley evenings
    Fri 31st & Sat 1st EVENINGS
    For the Friday 31st and Saturday 1st evenings you can arrive from 6:00pm and stay until 10:30pm (bars close at 10:00pm) and it is advanced tickets only at a special rate of £5.00 per person. Travel by Coach on Friday 31st August

We have two coaches available for the night, below shows the outbound routes and times for pick up.  If you want to book the coaches, book via the link at the top of the page at the same time as you purchase your tickets.  Spaces are limited, so book early.  You must indicate the stop you will be using so we can notify the driver.  Return journey will be in reverse from 11pm.
